Finally, A Solution to a 26 Year Old Problem

I have a problem letting go of things. I have kept pretty much everything I have ever come across. Receipts, napkins, chopstick wrappers, broken umbrellas – you name it, I still have it in a box somewhere. I can tell you which Japanese restaurant I got the chopstick wrapper from, I can even tell you what street corner the umbrella broke at.
Fortunately, I am proud to announce I have finally come up with a solution to my junk collecting problem. I am going to just take digital pictures of the item and toss it away afterwards. That way I still have a picture to remember it, but not the actual physical possession. Living in New York has created a scarcity of space ($3,200 a month for under 500 square feet), however my laptop has enough space for millions of pictures of memorable garbage. Wish me luck.
