Why do people consistently risk the loss of limbs just to catch an elevator? These are the same people who will use a towel to open the bathroom door because they are afraid of germs, yet if an elevator is about to close they will jump in the door way without even thinking twice. The site of an elevator door closing can even give people super human strength, as I have seen people on crutches drop the crutches and stick their leg in the door just to hold it open. So society, I promise another elevator will come, so please, for the sake of yourself and the people in the elevator who will need therapy when they have to go up to their telemarketing job with your severed head, wait for the next one. Trust the system.
